PSA Video

Making a PSA was reallly annoying. The PSA only brought trouble to our life. First of all, the group I was with to create the PSA got punished because of fooling around. This means that we couldn't do anything during all the period we had available. Fortunately, our PSA was finished in a very short period of time the next day. In order to create the PSA we needed ideas. These were easy as they just pooped right through my head and I began talking to my group about it. In the end, the whole thing was really just a matter of minutes and complications were minimal.

There weren't many things I would like to change about my video but minor problems. One of these was the camera handling. The camera, as always, was moving from side to side and what I would have liked was that we had a camera rig, but that costs some money and in that time we had no funds. Another thing I would like to change was the editing at the end as that was not my job as part of the group and I think it could have been better.

Doing this PSA, my group was not alone. There were many more and truthfully, some were kind of good. Of course, we people making these PSAs are not skilled actors/actress or directors but I have to say, some were good. The only problem with all the videos inclluding mine was that nobody had a decent camera so that gave a very strange and fan made video look which makes it look unprofessional, but that was inevitable. I am not trying to say that my group was the best and all otehrs are bad here, but our team, in my opinion had the best storyline, clear voice, and drama, but allas, I can not choose my own group as the best. From all other videos, I think that the group consisted of Jorge and Taku was the best. This is because they portrayed the effects well of their subject and consequences. In a nutshell, it was the one that looked more professional.

PSA

A PSA or Public Service Announcement is a kind of commercial in which you don't promote a brand but the actual use of that product in general for safety measures. A PSA might say that when having sexual activity use a condom but will not say a specific brand. This type of announcement is given by television, radio and newspapers. These PSA are given when things are beginning to look bad. PSA may sometimes be harmful to yourself as some say you must join the army and therefore you may go to war and die. Nevertheless, PSA are done for the greater good of your country.

I really dont know who to work with. I dont really have a preference but some of the persons i would like to work with is sny of the boys as i dont have much relationship to the girls in a strong way. Specifically, I would like to work with either Francisco Carmona, Sebastian Zermeno or Jorge Vital. The fact that none of them are close to my house makes this project harder than it is yet everybody else is almost as far as them. All of these boys are hard workers and are just easy to work with

5 PSA that are needed to be shown are:
-Drinking and driving
-Smoking
-Sexual intercourse
-Dont do anything in excess
-Eat healthy

I would probably choose the Drinking and driving, drug abuse (smoking) or sexual intercourse. Most of the problems in society are from these three and so therefore i pick them. I would start by showing the aftercause of their use and then say something like prevent them or so.

Commercial Analization

Commercials are usually annoying as in one day they are reapeted an infinite number of times. Nevertheless, if you were to watch them once on the internet, they might amuse you. This way of seeing them I actually like to do so. you appreciate them more because on the internet you can search for funny commercials and not some boring thing on the tv. The fact that I now search them for being funny makes them have less impact on me because I take them as a joke. For example, the Pepsi commercial is kind of funny and I know that it is still a bad drink. So what I do is watch it, laugh, and then I move on. This one goes with probably all commercials I watch.

After watching some commercials on the internet, now we are asked to create one of our own. This is going to be real challenging as for the moment I wouldn't know what appeals to the audience. I would probably use a comedy tone for my commercial. I await many challenges for this commercial. I expect that in one point I will not know what to do. This is going to be the greatest challenge because getting stuck with no definate way to go or as there is nobody guiding you, thinking of what I will do next will be something that I would probably spend a lot of time doing.

One Day at Earth Video

My video is taking a little more than expected to finish. Nevertheless, a theme can be extracted from the video can be extracted. Moslty, my pictures were of nature and pollution. You can guess from what I just told you what the theme is. Life. Life is in its beginning of its end. The message trying to be delivered in this video is that life is to an end and we as humans should do something about it. I know this is not a very original theme as many have been done with probably some of the same pictures as I used, but what the hell, I am trying to help the Earth so yeah... Ill probably have the video in 18/Nov/10 so if there are any followers of my blog posts (which I doubt), then wait for it.

Making a video is harder than it looks, just like many other things. First of all, for this type of video, you need to do things in steps. First of all, you need a theme of what you are going to do, and thinking of an original theme that you like is way to hard. Second of all, you need many images. Now, gathering the right images for your specific theme gets really boring and therefore making it harder than it is as you don't want to gather more images. Later on is the actual video. In the actual video, you put the images in a certain order but, the images should go specifically in some order if you want to make them more interesting. For this you need an audio track that fits your video theme. Now, right now you can begin to understand how hard it is to make and "average looking video". Now, just imagine trying to do one with real good quality (content quality). I don't even want to talk about it. So, if you are going to make a video, you must have a lot of free time on your hands

One Day to Tell All

I think the video entitled One Day On Earth posted on Youtube is a very touching video. I really liked the video. So many things happen in one day you probably only know less than 1 % of what really happened in the whole world just that one day. Most of the things that happen are horrible and tragic things like death yet not all is sadness and grieving. A small part is happiness but nevertheless, you don not know when those things will happen to you so you should enjoy every second on your life. I guess that is what the message of this video is. You should enjoy every minute of your life and if you are one of the lucky people who have not suffered real grief, then forget your problems and enjoy your life. For those who are in grief, understand that there is only one life you live and you should enjoy it at its maximum. In my personal opinion, I think every person should follow this message.

In the video there was some guy with one leg but he is high jumping. This was a very powerful short clip. The guy who was legless comes to show you that no matter if you are somehow crippled, you can still achieve many things and by doing so, enjoy them. One video that I did not enjoy looking at and that it did not gave me such feeling was the busy corner in the city. There was really no feeling but nevertheless it was a great video.
